This horrible female magistrate – a fake magistrate named Shiuli Akhter (30) fled on Thursday afternoon with half a crore rupees in the name of giving a job in Katiadi of Kishoreganj.
Meanwhile, more than a hundred people to get the money back to the newly married husband of the fake magistrate Shiuli Akter. A crowd has gathered at Rafiqul Islam’s house. The incident took place at Char Algi village in Masua union of Katiadi upazila.
On Wednesday afternoon, it was learned that Rafiqul Islam Rafiq, son of Asab Uddin, a timber trader from Char Algi village, was wandering around frustrated for a job after finishing LLB (Hons) LLM from Dhaka City University when he was approached by a manager of BRAC office in Manohardi upazila of Narsingdi district. Rafiq was introduced to Akhtar.
Shiuli introduces herself as an executive magistrate. Jessore MP Sheikh Afil Uddin said his uncle, Advocate Rafiq Uddin, his father and his own house in Gulshan, Dhaka and a garment factory in Gazipur.
A few days after the introduction, Shiuli expressed her opinion that she wanted to marry Rafiq and give him a job. If Rafiq agrees to this, he got married on November 8, 2016 through the Charmandalia Kazi office of Manohardi upazila at a price of Tk 2 lakh.
Shiuli went to her groom’s house and demolished the two-storied tin house and built a new house, boundary wall and gate. To win the hearts of the locals, he donated Tk 1 lakh in cash for the construction of a village mosque and 12 ceiling fans at Char Algi Icham Uddin High School.
Shortly afterwards, he was transferred to Aceland in Kaliakair upazila of Gazipur district.
He rented a house in a 4-storey building with Bhogpara food warehouse in Katiadi Upazila Sadar. Occasionally Shiuli would leave the house in the name of going to the office in a private car.
At one stage he preached that 3rd and 4th class posts would be appointed in Judge Courts all over Bangladesh. He is a member of that recruitment committee.
He took half a crore rupees from hundreds of people in different villages of Katiadi, Pakundia and Manohardi upazilas through various people to provide jobs.
He gave appointment letters to some of them. When a person named Masud Mia of Pakundia Upazila showed his appointment letter to the local MP, he said it was fake.
When the news came out, Shiuli told her husband Rafiq on Thursday morning that Jessore Benapole Municipality Mayor Liton and Dhaka Bar Secretary Najibullah Hiro were coming to visit her house in Katiadi.
Since then, his mobile number has been blocked. When the incident came to light in the area, job seekers were pressuring Shiuli Akhter’s alleged husband Rafiq to return the money.
Shiuli Akter’s husband Rafiqul Islam said, “I was cheated by him.” He kept me abnormal by taking various medicines and amulets. I don’t know anything about giving money to people.
I have lodged a complaint against Shiuli Akter at Katiadi Model Police Station.
Katiadi Model Police Station OC Zakir Rabbani said, “We are investigating the complaint filed by Rafiqul Islam.” The main mystery will come out after the investigation.
